In the tab-dialog, settings can be made for the current page. It's also possible to make default settings for new pages.
The distance between tabs are set in the tab-field. Tab stops are added by clicks in the field and removed by dropping them outside the field.
Automatic tabs are inserted after the last user-set tab (symolized by triangles). The distance between these tabs are set by moving the triangle in the top-left corner of the field.
The button "Reset" copies the default settings for new-pages to the tab-field. The button is replaced with a "Clear"-button if the <option>-key is pressed. This button clears the tab-field.
It's possible to se the effects of the new tabs by pressing the "Preview" button. The text will be restored if the dialog is canceled later on.
System requirements
Unfortunately, the tab functions require System 7 or later to work correctly. If NotePad Deluxe is launched under system 6, all tab-functions will be disabled.
